DISCIPLESHIP OPPORTUNITY
"Then He said to them all,
“If anyone desires to come after Me,
let him deny himself,
and take up his cross daily,
and follow Me."
Luke 9:23
CCMI provides discipleship opportunities for both
skilled and low-skilled Christians
who desire to follow Christ
even to the uttermost parts of the earth.
Whether using your vacation time or a leave of absence ...
whether you are out-of-work or in recovery ...
if you are ready to use your time and energy
to benefit the poor whom Jesus called us to help,
this Co-Mission has opportunities for you.
For those considering a mission's career, we welcome you to roll up your sleeves and jump in for some weeks or months as you continue to listen to the Shepherd.

"When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor . . . and Yourself"
Churches and individual Christians typically have faulty assumptions about the causes of poverty, resulting in the use of strategies that do considerable harm to poor people and themselves. Don't let this happen to you, your ministry or ministries you help fund! A must read foranyone who works with the poor or in missions, When Helping Hurts provides foundational concepts, clearly articulated general principles and relevant applications. The result is an effective and holistic ministry to the poor, not a truncated gospel. Father/Son, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Mom/Daughter Trips
Although the thought is for parents to serve together with their 10 to 20 year-olds, serving with a family member can be appropriate at any age, as the Lord leads. Berta & I remember when we traveled together to Ghana with my 70 year-old dad for his first trip ... what a very blessed time we had together.
